Ah I don't have a Netflix sub, just don't want to cave as I hate the way they do things. So I haven't seen STJ, am I right in assuming others see it as a bit of a dud? |
I loved Sirius and really looked forward to each new episode. I liked the characters and Im a sucker for actual sibling relationships (the normal kind, not gross stuff that anime does sometimes) so that was cool too, especially since they did a good job with it, in my opinion.

Count me in as another Sirius fan. It was no masterpiece but it sure was entertaining as hell and it was really well done. Also, it had one of my favorite endings of the year. Definitely my favorite PA works series in a good long while (well, since Canaan, actually)

I can always watch a P.A. Works teen drama, but they have done fine when they work on different genres. Fairy gone seems to have enough quality staff behind to be a good show.
Speaking of Sirius The Jaeger, it is an entertaining show with beautiful visuals, but the story could have used more substance. It could have worked better as a two cours series; I especially would have liked to see an opening arc where the main characters spent 4-5 episodes hunting vampires in London and England before going to Japan.

I can't think of the last time we got an original fantasy anime as it seems like most fantasy anime these days are based on light novels and mobile games. The character designs and concept look very unique so I'm really looking forward to this one. I thought Sirius the Jaegar was a fun if not predictable action show with a solid cast of characters and good production values.

I can think of eight shows with this plot. My favorite? Pumpkin Scissors. But I love this general plot, so I'll probably love this show.

The problem with this kind of show is not the production (I like PA Works), but the content of the story itself. As people said with Sirius, it didn't have a lot of substance. I get the same feeling from this. I can already imagine the kind of unaswered questions this type of story will end with.

Well, I think if CR or Funi are smart, they will try to pick this up, seeing as how either and/or both companies have experience streaming dark action shows as weekly simulcasts. Of note: "Drifters", "Overlord", and "Tokyo Ghoul".

I think besides Sirius and Iroduku, most PA Works shows have been on Crunchyroll.
