Didn't really like it growing up but I might buy it as a joke, as one of my teachers worked on it and he claims that he hates it now as well as all anime haha.

Ah... I was considering that, but I haven't considered Close Captions to be subtitles since the old Pioneer LD days. ^^; |

Release of the original series (Super Sentai franchise) in the US is impossible due to Power Rangers technically being western edition of it and all publishing rights belonging to Saban Brands as long as they keep the contract with Toei.
Plus there's not enough audience for that kinda thing. How would you get it to people? Brand it "Japanese Power Rangers"? |

The people who'd be interested in the original Super Sentai wouldn't need it explained. I suspect one of the reasons Saban doesn't do any sort of release for the original is that they don't actually buy the rights to do so, merely the ones for using the scripts and the clips.

Had this come out a few years ago I would have been very interested. But now after having Netflix streaming and having watched quite a few of the Japanese versions this does nothing for me. If I really want to watch this stuff I will boot up my Roku or PS3 and start watching it on Netflix.
