Actually, they are. Little Norse Prince is one of my favorite anime movies and Goro Miyazaki's Tales from Earthsea reminds me of Yoshiyuki Tomino at his worst although it was still watchable. I think Animal Treasure Island, Puss in Boots, Taro the Dragon Boy and Jack and the Beanstalk are also better.

Hopefully this time the new director actually deserves to direct the movie unlike the other guy who only got to direct a movie just because he's Miyazaki's son. Gedo Senki wasn't anything special and the author of the book hated the movie.

Well one thing will be for sure, this new director will get the same support. Laguin hates every adaptation of her books. I wonder if the next movie will be this new director's first as well. Wink
