I'm using IE 11.0.9600.17959 currently Update version 11.0.22 (KB3078071) I have auto updates activated.
Exclusively on Fast. What it is telling me is that I don't belong there. It wouldn't show on the www version since you don't have to be logged on to be there. When I log back in the top of the page says "Welcome Back". So far it has not happened on the front page, only in the forums. This may be a reflection of the relative time spent there. It happens when I shift to a new page or sub forum. It has also happened after I posted a message and before I returned to the forum. I don't remember it happening while I was in a given page. It is happening less frequently these days but the forum has been slower since the end of the preview guide. I may be spending less time per session. I'll have to see if I can remember how to get back to the www. version. |

Well, you can still get logged out while on www. But the result wouldn't be as apparent, you wouldn't get the "you don't belong here" message. But your name would disappear from the menu and be replaced with a login prompt.
There are a few things you can try to help us narrow the cause of the issue. Because this issue is unique to IE 11 (AFAIK), I want to start with the browser. First thing to try: 1. Typing this in your address bar: about:NoAdd-ons (clicking the link should work also). 2. Visit ANN, try it out for a while Does it work? ////don't do this///// Second thing to try (Cookies): [SKIP THIS FOR NOW] 1. go to animenewsnetwork.com/meta/cookies.html and copy-paste the results into notepad (don't click any of the links yet) 2. Copy the results and PM them to me. 3. click "delete" beside all the cookies. 4. logout 5. Restart your browser 6. Visit ANN and login with "remember me" ///don't do the above//// Does this work ? Third thing to try 1 - PM me, and I will PM you an alternate URL to visit ANN at, bypassing our CDN / Proxy 2 - Visit ANN at the URL I provide Does this work ? Fourth thing to try: 1) Visit WWW instead of FAST If you get logged out on WWW, you won't get the super obvious "you don't belong here" page, but you'r name will be removed from the menu bar and you'll be unable to reply to posts. I'm currently on the www server with no add-ons enabled (I added that link to my anime favorites). So far no impairment of function. I've had no log off yet but that may take awhile. I'll try this set up for the time being and keep you posted here. It may take a day or so and several sessions since it is now less frequent.
Edit: that didn't take as long as I thought it would. I was on the www server and had clicked on the no add-ons link. I was in the Community forum and had read a couple of messages. I composed and posted a reply to the Smile thread. At that point I was notified that I shouldn't be there. When I logged back in, it said the post I was looking for didn't exist. However when I checked the thread my message had been posted. That post is timed at 8:59, this is timed 8:18 so I was in the forum for about 40 minutes before this happened. Since it doesn't seem to make a difference, I'm going back to the fast server. Also I've just about finished this session, it will be tomorrow before I can check out your second option. Additional edit: It is now about 8:50 on Monday morning. I clicked on the "Clear Cookies" link in your message and got a "not found" response. |

Okay, based on Alan's feedback we can rule out IE plugins, and WWW vs. Fast.

Two sessions in and so far so good. No problems yet. Unless I have a log off, I'll wait a few days before I update this.

I'm still good at the new location. If you want me to go back to the fast server and try it let me know.
It is now Monday the 23th. It has been a full week at the new location without any problems at all. I've done multiple sessions everyday. So far, so good. Let me know if you want me to change anything. |

Logged on the fast server this evening and lasted about 30 to 40 minutes before getting logged off. I'll go back to the other location. |
