There is no minus, unless you're hoping that they will release a regular edition (2 movies separately) and didn't say anything yet. It comes with the figures so far (LE edition). Oh well, time to save up now and pre-order.
If you peak over at cdjapan, the 2 movies separately (Top wo Nerae! Gekijoban and Top wo Nerae 2! Gekijoban) gained you a net a savings of $23. Both movies separately sold for 6000 JPY ($49.31). The LE with 2 figures (Top wo Nerae 2! and Top wo Nerae! Gattai Gekijoban Box) sold for 14,800 JPY ($121.59). |

Well, I don't think it would fly in the US. Right now I, for one, want my Gunbuster 2, and that's it.
The only other example of a distributor re-releasing a DVD has been ADV with Evangelion TV. I wonder if that was successful for them. |

They actually let this announcement slip way back during Anime LA. All i had to do was ask about it. Nice to know we're getting the figure.
At least the scene they changed for the Gunbuster release isn't even in the movie version. No need to worry about that. As for the dub, was a foley track recreated for the film as well? I know they redubbed the voices, but I haven't heard of a redone foley track. They'd have to, wouldn't they? Unless they did a lot of splicing for the audio. |
