There's a very good chance Kingdom Hearts III will release next year

That's a beautiful bit of hedging your bets. Entirely justified, too.

Was hoping to see Cuphead listed in games, especially since it's in the same price range as Sonic Mania. It's a very well made XBox One exclusive, also on PC, with great classic sounding music and vintage inspired character designs.

For anyone who maybe only got a PS4 recently, Dragon Quest Builders should be cheap and it's just so much fun and so damn charming, and a second game is coming! No prior DQ experience needed, either!

I'm personally going to be picking up Kingdom Hearts 2.8 myself (I got 1.5+2.5 about a month ago for $30, it'll be $20 at most places tomorrow, but $30 is still a damn good deal. I did want 2.8 to drop to $20 though). Danganronpa and Persona 5 are also tons of fun. And Undertale got a PS4 and Vita physical release for any fan in your life on that game.

I had a vague idea that Hot Topic produced clothing that was germane to general pop culture, but to learn that they include licensed anime apparel surprised me. I thought it was only the importers and tiny specialists that did that! (How times have changed.)

And Hot Topic has $10 T-Shirts today and tomorrow

For any Yuri on Ice fans they have some really nice ones.
And as I’ve gotten back into Dragon Ball I got Vegeta shirt for myself. Smile

The remakes are pretty much forgotten and anybody with sense (good taste) would tell you to get the original shows and watch those instead.

...I have both and wouldn't really recommend the old school Speed Racer unless you like cheesy and dated looking anime.

Speed Racer, née Mach Go Go Go, is very much in the vein of classic 60's Hanna Barbera: The stuff that is well-done (music, character design, writing) is just as glaring as the faults (animation, writing) and the latter is easily forgiven because the ride is so enjoyable. The show is Jonny Quest by way of Tin-Tin and is a lot of fun.

That's not everyone's cup of tea but it's an A-list series; It's not a cheaply thrown together project: It's not 70's Hanna Barbera.

2. Okay, not waiting for Christmas. I want to check out Anime Supremacy and the Spider, So What? series.

The Sakura version listed(collectibles) is the 'plain' one. For the Stars Bless You version of this same figure , see here how it looks;
http://www.1999.co.jp/eng/image/10403833/20/1
It's a lot more expensive, but you can't deny it looks absolutely gorgeous. Smile

Also, the prices for those figures are ~$40 more expensive across the board than the same items listed on Japanese retailers like cdjapan or hobby search. To take an example, the 'plain' version of Sakura is a whopping +$60 more expensive on jlist than on the other two sites($168 vs $104).
If you don't need to pay shipping inside US I guess it evens out(?). But from here it would make no sense for me to order any of those figures from jlist(I'd have to pay shipping in either case), unless it's a something I want really bad and it's sold out anywhere else...

Sentai Filmworks’ Black Friday sale looks pretty good. Bought the Chihayafuru CE box set for less than $95.

Of course, that’s just the first season Laughing Arrow Crying or Very sad

Are model kits not counted as anime collectibles, or is it the prevailing wisdom that giving someone an unsolicited model kit is basically equivalent to giving someone "the gift of work"? Laughing

(I'd love to see a feature where the person ANN normally gets to do Gundam-related articles does a gunpla holiday gift guide... lots of great kits came out this year, including the awesome Legend BB #403 Mark III Daishogun!)

Nice. They did a very good job on it and the Aqua chapter is cool, it's great getting a little taste of Kingdom Hearts 3's new graphics engine on the PS4/PS4 Pro.

I'd add In This Corner of the World to the bluray/dvd section, as it's easily one of the best anime films of the past few years and the official release is not too expensive at all on Amazon.
