I'm keeping up with it but I would think it better if they could refrain from putting a mushy "win-win" polish on every battle. It's getting a little cloying. Now about the crowd of underclothed girls hanging out in the bath room, bed room, and club room .. yep it delivers that pretty consistently. Good stuff but I keep wanting someone like Kanako to show up. |

Normally, I might agree with you, but I'm also watching Daybreak Illusion at the same time which seems to be lose-lose every week. The two shows in conjunction balance each other out. |

Actually watching the two back-to-back is known to put you in a zen-like trance where you can actually float off the ground and bend spoons with a whisper.
It's pretty chill. |

Wow, did not spoiler[see that reveal coming.]
Uzume's mom is pretty adorable. I wouldn't mind a game of strip poker with her any day... |

So you like being naked in front of others. In all honesty though, this was an admittedly weak episode because of how the vast majority of it was spent on a boring, non-fantasy poker game, and how spoiler[the dolls going to the field to fight the fake chairman went nowhere]. Still, it does get points for the surprisingly clever reveal of spoiler[Komachi, the last person you'd expect to be a villain, being the real chairman]. |

I suspect that spoiler[Komachi isn't really a villain. Madeleine didn't exactly look like an unwilling hostage. I think we will discover that Komachi has been pulling strings in an effort to get Uzume to grow as a person by having to struggle with the dolls.]

In about 6 hands of poker we saw two sets of trips, a full house, a four-of-a-kind, and a straight-flush.
Dem cards gotta be crooked. Once about 35 years ago I got 4 aces playing 7-card stud. The casino gave me the deck (they cut a corner off it). On another topic I swear those dolls need a shot of military discipline. They are perfectly prepared to abandon Uzume at their slightest discontent. They refused to answer her summons. How can she rely on them? Of course Uzume didn't help anything by trying to bribe them. Of course that's how 12 year old girls would solve things and that's who this was written for so I shouldn't complain. |

Episode 10
I actually thought spoiler[Komachi looked a lot like the doll they were fighting] so that kind of built a basis of thinking that spoiler[Komachi was involved], and when they said the spoiler[chairman was someone else I figured it was her]. Also I don't think that girl was that great at poker, when the spoiler[mother said she knew quite a bit of poker it should have made her think a little harder]. I thought that it was blatantly obvious that the spoiler[mother was bluffing that it was a little silly for experienced card players to fall for]. I have not played a lot of poker, but I have had a fair share of cheat/bullshit and a trading card game, and both her spoiler[moves were classic moves for someone who knows they are being underestimated]. In fact I would do the same thing, so yes I psychologically manipulate children in card game, not much more satisfying than then tricking them into telling their hands. Also, about the cards, there is always the chance the mother was counting cards or something crazy like that. I like how she just took the whole situation in stride without being surprised over almost the Dual monsters level technology. |

My favourite part was the backpedalling the dolls did when they came into the living room and saw the mom there. That was hilarious.
I've got minor poker experience but while I'd likely have fallen for mom's first trick there's no way I would've fallen for the first. But then again when did this show ever try to be deep and sly? FANTASISTA DOLL~ |

This "thing" was written for adult males. |

Due to an amusing coincidence, both FD and Precure had a giant tea set theme occur during the "battle of the week" segment.

I noticed that too, quite the coincidence.
Not to mention I always watch DokiDoki right after FantaDolls. |

... for 12 year old girls. You might think all entertainment for children are produced by children but I don't. |

Well I mentioned a couple times that who the target audience is, is kind of confusing. While in practice it feels like it fits what young girls watch, but we have an ED that seems to seriously have the feeling of a reverse harem. There is a gun shop that made an appearance, sweets used as traps panders a certain moe market, and possibly outfits.
I can't decide who it is for without hearing the opinion of someone in the know; someone who knows the timeslot and channel, and what that means in Japan. If it is meant for young girls, then they are either by accident, or hiding in what they are doing that is making this a fun watch for us. |
