That's good. :3
I liked the ending of this episode a lot; it's really cute.
Along with the drama of 'WHAT IS THIS FEEL", you can fortunately count on shoujo to have pretty funny humor as well. It's actually something it's rather well known for.

If they stick somewhat close to the manga, this is where Nanami starts to take her role seriously and really starts applying herself. It is what makes me continue to buy the manga.

Tomoe feeling jealous of Mamoru LOL
Mizuki & Tomoe playing shogi to get to accompany Nanami.
Nanami got ambushed by some very resentful former gods.
Divine Assembly in Izumo.
Tomoe forced to stay home... ^^" and pretend to be Nanami at school..
She took Mizuki with her instead.
Of course she had to get into trouble right off the bat.
Wonder what she just got chosen for..

Oh God, Tomoe's face was priceless in the latest episode. Curious to see what the others have to say at that meeting and also what plans that new guy has in this season.
The monkey's kid form is also cute :>

Season 2, Episode 2
An odd case of Mizuki being probably correct, Nanami would not be able to keep her cool if someone insulted Tomoe, and he would not be able to do the same. Mizuki has experience, plus she is wanting to not just rely on Tomoe. It did set up a great joke of Tomoe again in disguise dealing with Kurama.
Odd, but when I heard Himemiko all I could think of was Miss Monochrome. Also Mamoru is not yet annoying.
I feel myself I looking forward more and more to this season. I might look into getting the first season.

I felt so bad for Tomoe in this one. D:
NANAMI, JUST BE HONEST.
Oh but I love that Mizuki cries literally over everything.
I forgot another thing:
Who doesn't like a guy soaked in blood saying this line? Kirihito is BADASS. I'm one step away from becoming his fangirl; I'm sure he has thousands already.

It's one of the rare times that Tomoe is actually nice to him.
Nanami has a long way to go. We all want to see her do well as a god but bajeebus if she doesn't cause at least half of her problems by herself.

Likely because he was in such a good mood.
But Nanami's a good heroine because she tries. She doesn't always succeed but she's not content to just sit around and let others take care of her. She wants to become someone to admire. I love that about her.

I think that Nanami is fine, she is just relying on everyone else or foolishly trying to do everything herself. She has been trying to live up to expectations and help the people around her, it has meant accepting help of say Tomoe, but also not doing so.

Is that what you intended to say?
Or should it possibly be "she is not just ..."?
I ask because your post seems to be generally positive about her.
I have not seen any of this season.
I am checking this thread because I am considering the possibility of trying to watch the streams for season 2. I say "trying" because my Internet service is not really suitable for it and I have never yet watched a streaming anime.
I have watched the first season on Blu-ray.

I thought DP's statement was pretty clear. Sometimes Nanami unwisely relies too much on someone else to save her (usually Tomoe) and sometimes she unwisely tries to go at it alone.
In spite of all that she is a charming character. She is after all just a school girl thrown into an outrageous situation so who could blame her for making all sorts of mistakes? She seems to be learning, albeit slowly, and she has managed to do some good for her shrine. The romance with Tomoe thing is a bit tiresome but beyond that, who wouldn't root for her?

Yeah, I meant to add in that "not", that she is showing signs of doing things herself that she might have had to rely on earlier. While also getting into trouble for trying to do too much by herself before, I think that she is showing signs of knowing to ask for help. She does seem to be learning.

Divine assembly time.
That god of war was very unpleasant.
Nanami looking for Mikage? She was pretty serious about it too.
Incredibly as always, she takes the most complicated jobs..
Otohiko was as fun as always..
Tomoe was completely out of it.. missing Nanami too much.
Netherworld adventure start!

Episode 3:
I'm not sure what to think regarding that Kirihito guy. I mean, he seem to be hard to read so far based on his motives. But from this episode, I think the relationship between him and Nanami is quite amusing.
The Netherworld also seems to be adapted into this series. Quite fascinating.

YES. Their interaction is amazing. I don't know what's better; him watching her fail with his (T T) face or Tomoe turning into a dreamy school girl with a crush over a letter from Nanami telling him to study.
Or the bathtub fanservice.
It was all so good.
