So, GATSU have you seen the Chapter books or the junior novel for DBE? |

Cliff: Just the cover. I feel sorry for any kid who ends up ordering 'em through Scholastic, though.

They don't have to get them by mail. Go to B&N and you can see them on the shelves. If anyone wants confirmation of everything the "haters" been saying about DBE is true all they need do is skim through the those books. It's all hilariously bad. |

Cliff: I don't expect the books to be great, since they're adaptations of adaptations. But the movie should be a no-brainer, considering it's such a simple concept. Anyway, some Japanese press conference pics stolen from Marsters' site.

Well, you have to figure that if they make what they put into this movie and more, then they'll go into production for the second movie. I mean, heck, they're already working on the sequel to Twilight. So, what more can you ask from the studio. The thing is going to be whether enough people like it or not.

Look at all those direct to dvd sequels one sees. There always seem to be titles in the horror aisle of the rental store I never saw in theaters. |

Yes, too many. You wonder how they even find the money to make them. And practically all of them are going to have bad actors, horrible directing, and a storyline that makes you want to turn off the movie. I was surprised that I sat through the House of the Dead movies. |

Every once in awhile one finds a good one. Return to Horror High was fun. There's a lot of really horrible stuff, though |

Well, to me the horror genre is one that is established as a money maker without the need for quality. The themes are pretty much the same, and those who make the movies know that they'll have a decent turnaround because of the target audience of horror movies, which is younger people. They watch them as a form of entertainment, and more than they should, which brings in the money for the movie makers. This comes from what I've seen of movies in and out of Hollywood and on the internet. It's quite sad, really. I probably save lots of money every year by not watching all those movies. |

The writer's trying to cover his ass.

Stolen from IMDB. The screenwriter tries to defend his "take" on the story.

Wow, so the movie he's currently watching, wouldn't that be that laughably bad Hong Kong ripoff called The Magic Begins or something like that? Oh boy, now we know where the writer's, set designer's, and costume designer's inspiration came from
