I doubt Disney had anything to do with it.
WDSHE handled the production and distribution of the BD, I'd assumed they'd handled the remastering process too (or at least assisted and provided the equipment & facilities).

One of my favorite series. So amazing.

I'll have to considering this, depending on what the price point ends up being.
