Episode 18
Yet another great fight scene for the show in this episode. I loved the savagery Izuru and Asagi showed when they spoiler[repeatedly impaled the enemy over and over], which is something I don't see very often in mecha anime. It kind of reminded me of a scene in Full Metal Panic! where Gauron spoiler[brutally killed Sousuke's squadmates in the desert arc with a melee weapon]. |

Episode 18
They spoiler[used Rose 3's engines as a bomb and blew him up]  , but what an explosion, spoiler[they damaged the school with breaking every window and created a massive crater]. The fight was especially good when they had spoiler[Izuru and Asagi were fighting Kleine in close combat], very nice. Although their spoiler[mechs are mighty damaged, so not exactly pure victory, but if the enemy are waiting that will give a chance for Earth actually to prepare.]
Did the second ending always have Tamaki's voice (Yuka Iguchi)? Apparently it changes, but I only noticed that now, I prefer Tamaki so it makes me happy. Hopefully she can get that date. |

Loved the fight scenes as usual, seriously can't believe it seems like so few people are aware of how dope this series is just because of the character designs and the fact that it doesn't indulge in needless drama.

Another new ending on display for this episode.
Most of us saw some of the events of episode 19 coming, especially with all the tropes being dropped in the first half, but still sad to see it hit in full effect. spoiler[I mean Randy, I had prepared myself for his eventual death since his first appearance but poor Patrick... I was shipping him Tamaki and that brief bit where it looked like he HAD to make it just so the mission wouldn't fail... ]

Episode 19
Simon is an asshole, he spoiler[knew that he was sending Doberman on a suicide mission, but they had been through enough close to death missions that they thought they were invincible]. And all of the ones to spoiler[survive, it was Rakesjh? I wanted Patrick to live], but then he was all about how he was spoiler[going to confess Tamaki and asking what everyone was going to do after the war]. Ange stole the episode with switching modes and spoiler[commenting on the porn]. |

Episode 19
Oh right, I still watch this show....just haven't posted in awhile ;o Anyways, latest episode was okay I guess. My favorite part was the second half with OP song 1 playing during that battle scene. Oh and death flags everywhere raising high in the air. |

Usually this anime is lighthearted despite being about a war, but it was heavier than I expected when spoiler[Randy and Patrick died.] I thought that many death flags in a single episode meant it wouldn't trigger any, but maybe they did trigger because no one called them out for being death flags?

Episode 20
Well, it was rather sad in the aftermath of spoiler[Randy and Patricks death]. I think that spoiler[Rakesh] made the right decision to spoiler[give Patrick's gift to Tamaki, it might have been a little mean for Tamaki, but it would have been far crueller not to]. The scene of Tamaki going to Kei was sweet. And revelations. It has been revealed that spoiler[Asagi and Izuru are actually genetic brothers, kind of like half brothers in sharing Simon as their father]. Funny how it pissed off spoiler[Asagi when Izuru called him Onii-chan]. A good kicker is the revelation that spoiler[Izuru's DNA also comes from Teoria, so in a sense Teoria is actually his mother].  Wait till he finds out that he has been spoiler[hoping to get with his mum].
Romance is all coming up with spoiler[Keis.] |

Good episode.
spoiler[Although the fact that Izuru's body is breaking down to the point he had trouble holding his drawing pen is interesting. I wonder how far they will take this effect in the coming episodes.] Still only 4 left and the Gate battle is looking to be the climax, can't wait for it and dreading this show ending at the same time. |

Episode 21
A big build up for what will likely be the climax for the entire series. Izuru seems to have taken to spoiler[calling Asagi his brother, and Asagi actually seems more confident now]. It was kind of funny that the entire group was kind of cheering spoiler[Asagi on apparently for him and Anna]. |

Episode 22
Was I lying to myself spoiler[when I thought that they might just be able to destroy the gate that easily]. There was plenty of action, although repeating itself with what happened at the start felt unnecessary. Go Tamaki for spoiler[taking on the woman that killed Patrick], seeing her give spoiler[Ange a ride with the rope, and then it being tied around and used to hold the enemy in place was awesome]. And not to mention Asagi. I would be very happy if Izuru does not fight as I think he already did his bit and it is because of him that everyone is doing as well as they are, please don't kill off anyone else. |
