Just wanna correct you on that one.

Long story short... TNG was filmed of 35mm film then transferred to video where some of the special effects were created.

What they have done is gone back to the, 35mm film elements and what we have is a true 1080 HD presentation on blu-ray and those special effects originally done on video have been redone in HD.

Although to be completely honest, there are a few seconds that needed to be upscaled since they couldn't find the 35mm film elements.

And it looks amazing.
