I've heard that Vento Aureo is the most popular right behind Stardust Crusaders, with Diamond is Unbreakable being one of the least popular ones.

It's funny since part 4 is considered one of the best internationally, and part 5 is considered one of the worst (though that's also in part due to bad translations).

Well, I hope Vento Aureo really is one of the most popular there, since that would mean an anime is almost guaranteed. What I would like to know is, how was Stone Ocean received in Japan?
