By the Eva movies, do they mean the live-action films or the remakes?

The cover is exactly the same of Newtype (Japan) September 2006, and I expect the same goes to the chapter opener two-page pic where SOS-dan et al. tossed Haruhi high in midair in a baseball team manner.
