Mechanical Marie TV Anime Reveals October 5 Debut, More Cast in 2nd Promo Video

The official website for the television anime of Aki Akimoto's Mechanical Marie (Kikaijikake no Marie) manga revealed on Friday the show's second promotional video, more cast, and October 5 debut.
The new cast members include:
- Saima Nakano as Bridget
- Yō Taichi as Isabel
- Shuntaro Hara as Toby
- Kappei Yamaguchi as Old Man Carl
- Rieko Takahashi as Old Lady Charlotte
The anime will premiere on October 5 at 10:00 p.m. on Tokyo MX, before airing on YTV on October 6 and BS-Fuji on October 7. The series will stream on d Anime Store, U-NEXT, and Anime Hōdai starting on October 5 at 11:00 p.m.

The anime stars:
- Nao Tōyama as Marie
- Haruki Ishiya as Arthur
- Ami Koshimizu as Marie-2
- Chiaki Kobayashi as Noah
- Yūichirō Umehara as Roy
- Daishi Kajita as Maynard
Junji Nishimura (Bakuon!!, 1989 Ranma ½, The Fire Hunter) is directing the anime at Zero-G and Liber. Mariko Kunisawa (Berserk of Gluttony, Tohai: Ura Rate Mahjong Tohai Roku) is in charge of the series scripts, Yōko Kikuchi (The Demon Prince of Momochi House, Carole & Tuesday 2nd key animator) is designing the characters, and Yasuharu Takanashi (Fairy Tail) and Johannes Nilsson (Gushing Over Magical Girls) are composing the music.
Harutya will perform the opening theme song "Honto to Uso" (Truth and Lies), and Nao Tōyama as her character Marie will perform the ending theme song "Cross Heart ~Itsuwari no Nai Kimochi" (Feelings With No Lies).

Akimoto first launched the manga as a one-shot in Hakusensha's LaLa magazine in March 2020. The manga started its regular serialization in June 2020, and it ended in June 2023. Hakusensha published six volumes of the manga. Yen Press licensed the manga and released the first volume in English on August 26.
Akimoto launched a sequel manga titled Kikaijikake no Marie+ (Mechanical Marie+) in LaLa on April 24.
