Wait, you mean to tell me a woman created "Your lie in April"? No wonder the Anime version was weird for me. I swear, all the characters had a serious case of "Oily Skin". Too much Acne Cream washing, and your pores will bleed out oil like they characters. All I wanted to do was smudge the oil off there faces trough my screen...give them a absorbent towel.

Our article mentions multiple times that Naoshi Arakawa is a man, and so does the Anime Expo article we linked to.
