While it may not technically be an Essential Anime release (which is actually good, since it means no ugly purple bar hogging space on the packaging), it will be anamorphic this time around, along with the 5.1 Japanese audio we didn't get the first time, as well as a (presumably upmixed rather simply) 5.1 dub. |

As much as I'd buy it again just for the 5.1 Dub, I"m actually hoping that they include some of the "behind the footage" stuff that we shot for the ADV stuff like we did for the Animeigo stuff (even though I'm not in any of it). If it's just a new printing with the 5.1 Dub, I might hold off just for sake of arguement. It would be nice to see ADV give Phoenix Post Sound (aka Coastal) more work, even though I know that the YUA movie and specials were a once-in-a-blue-moon case.
Personally, I think it's a shame that Genon is using the AMG movie dub cast for the TV show. Might not even buy it now. *shrugs* Yea, I'm a Coastal/Phoenix supporter, and proud of it. Gotta give love to the place where I did my work.

Oh I didn't know that. Well I liked the movie dub over the OVA anyway (I saw the movie and Mini goddess before the OVA for years so the movie voices are like angels compared to the OVAs dub. No pun intended) Anyway back on topic. I'm glad their releasing the Rune Solider boxset. I don't have any of it, but have seen the 1st 2 vols. VERY good series. That makes 3 box sets I have to have. 1) Noir (Seen it all but only have 1st and last vol. Must see it again again) 2)Infinite Ryvius( Only seen first 2 vols. MUST see more now with the airing of S-cry-ed on AS, because it has the ame creator and chracter designer, it makes me want to see it even more. 3) Rune Soldier(explaied above) Ever so happy ^-^ |

My director was the original dubbed Skuld (Pam Weidner-Houle), and I've met all the original ova dub cast, save Urd. (And lemme tell ya, God is a trip when he's drunk). That's just a personal view of mine.
I do have to say though, that I like the idea of the "Essential Anime" line, as it gives me good anime at a cheaper price. |
