Nothing gets me excited for more Cutie Honey like a hug pillow... Can't be worse than Anno's slash fiction, though. Actually, given the state of anime heroines these days, it probably will be Sad

Yeah as much I want to be excited, this staff is awful. They seriously couldn't do better than this?

If you want some solace, the character designer and chief animator has worked on Khara's The Dragon Dentist. But yeah the studio and director is nothing to write home about which is kind of irksome since the Mazinger Z movie and Devilman got the royal treatment, Probably have to wait and see what the trailer will hold.

CH Universe?
Are they implying more than one "Honey" like they had in CH Flash and the last Cutey Honey live-action TV series?

I hope it gets done well.
50th anniversary is nothing to sneeze at!

Lately though, they've really muffed anniversaries.
None of the DC characters had anything like fantastic anniversary celebrations on their 75th anniversaries. It was pathetic how quiet the celebrations were!
Same for Star Trek -- the 50th anniversary came and went with a whimper.
I don't know what it is with companies nowadays. Do they not want to acknowledge enduring brand names as a sign of built-in ageism or the thought that the shows and movies won't appeal to younger audiences if they're more than 5 minutes old?

I hope this new show gets handled decently...
It would also be nice to see some more Cutey Honey anime released over here or re-released in the case of New Cutey Honey on Blu ray. I'm surprised the 3-part Re: Cutie Honey tie-in to the old 2004(?) live-action film never got released in the West. It was fairly decent. The opening animation to the OVA is in the LA film!

All the Dynamic Pro stuff is accounted for except Getter Robo (technically Ken Ishikawa, but Dynamic has been releasing it( and Violence Jack. So when are we getting a Netflix version of Devolution?

Is there signs this maybe a poor quality anime to just sell sexy girl products? I'm not trying to be a jerk, its lately there hasn't been a lot questionable revivals. Anime companies seem to be struggling lately. Some not paying their animators!

One of the original Ms. Fanservice series is back. Yes, Honey was 1 of the earliest examples of the anime/manga girls whose primary purpose was likely to show her T&A.

A new Getter Robo and Violence Jack would be cool. I would like to see the return of Go Nagai's other classics like Jushin Liger and The Abashiri Family. Not even Susano Oh got a anime adaption. It would be nice if that manga got a anime adaption.
