This is proof the world is mad. Reairing some of the most culty mish mash religion content to every be produced. Sure the insanity is funny in its crazyness. But it doesnt stop it being a propaganda piece for said mad cult.

Weirdly enough Tubi lists the Japanese cast and has English subtitles that aren't dubtitles but the only audio available is the English one.

I've honestly been meaning to do a binge of the happy science movies to see how batshit insane they are

I realize it's a propaganda piece but I'm genuinely curious how well it holds up as an anime especially given the all-star cast they somehow landed for this.

Not surprised considering the film's purpose is propaganda that the production company likely paid for a pretty well-regarded cast of VAs here (some of whom are fully union and rarely do anime at all, like Hynden Walch, Josh Keaton, Roger Craig Smith, etc...).

But yeah, no interest in this thank you very much.

Geoff will be so happy to know that people can now legitimately watch this Cult Masterpiece.

I think I saw like one of the older ones back in the day when I was in undergrad during my final semester. Like around 2003/4ish. It also had a similar title to this but instead of the 'universe' it was the sun/earth or something like that.

Remember renting and watching it drunk late night after coming back from my roommate's friend private rave. We had class next day but they started like in the afternoon. We also had like only 2 courses left too. So, the final semesters were pretty light and spacious. All in all, might check this out if I ever go down that hard again like when I was young. lol, I wonder if this movie will also have 'El Miore' dude too.

what's more baffling is that some of these movies were dubbed and released in my country in times where anime was barely being dubbed(other than stuff like Pokemon and Bakugan)due to lack of interest of TV networks(because of issues like dubbing costs becoming expensive and networks standards becoming more stricter,so they no longer wanted stuff with violence and fan-service.).Thankfully,that has since changed thanks to streaming services like Netflix and Crunchyroll dubbing lots of anime now.
