I thought the ending was announced long ago? It's weird. Anyway, this is one of my favorite manga, it's just so delightfully weird and grotesque. It's the sort of eroguro that is, for me, a lot more than the sum of its parts (if that makes any sense) - I'm not drawn in by the ero, I wouldn't necessarily be interested in the guro in and of itself, but the combination of the two, and the sense applied to the whole thing, is just awesome. (Kind of like some of Yamaguchi Takayuki's best works where you start off going "this is so weird but I can't look away" and two volumes in you just don't even care anymore, just want more and more.)
Suzuri Ryou aka Sumiyoshi Ryou for their non-BL stuff, is a mangaka I keep my eyes on, their Jinba series is really good, I loved The Iron Hero and was sad when it was axed, and they post some amazing art, manga, and really fun worldbuilding ideas on their Twitter & pixiv. It's really so strange, he manages to take things and ideas I'm normally not interested in whatsoever and give them a spin that makes me find them intriguing. |
