Not quite. This game was in development before Genshin was announced. Similar graphics but this is gonna be a true MMO

Blue Protocol appears to be a true-blooded MMO, so it makes it a little weird that all official material, as far as I can tell, insists on calling it an "online action RPG." Makes me wonder what kind of separation their marketing dept. is trying to build when there is none. If it walks like a duck...

It's been touted as the "Genshin killer" for a while now, but I expect it to be more of a Tower of Fantasy killer, if anyone's even still playing that by then. The similarities are only superficial. Not clear if it's even a gacha game, though that seems inevitable since it claims to be free-to-play, and probably isn't some sort of NFT game...

The story seems pretty generic, from what little they've told us (amnesia hero saves the world from annihilation), but I guess people don't really play MMOs for the plot anyway.

That was 2 years ago when they have their own idea but after watching others success and their failure with MechaOverwatch they definitely did make changes because they want a success and going with Amazon in another hint to say good bye to the initial idea.

Sounds interesting. I play a lot on console, so I kind of needed a good time sink for it, apart from playing Phantasy Star and Elder Scrolls Online.
