If they release Senran Kagura in the West, it'll definitely boost the vita sales here as well.

Unfortunately, Westerners aren't into handhelds as they used to, now that most have portable tablets and smartphones to occupy their commute time instead. Plus, of those who's still in the handheld market, seems the only titles lately that could hype them into buying a handheld are the type of successful franchises like Pokemon.

That's more of general public, but the core gamers still buy handheld gaming consoles. Currently 3DS has reached 8 millions units sold in NA. So there is still a sizable market for handhelds.
