B6 or 7" x 5" or 176 x 125 mm sure seems small for a draft page. Not that I would know any different, I'm just curious. Is that the correct size of those pages? After all there isn't anything else depicted next to them to reference or draw a comparison from...

But they still didn't find the ending to Phoenix that Frederick L. Schodt so hoped might exist in Tezuka's papers somewhere. Alas.

lol that's exactly what I was hoping for as I was reading the article.

I wonder, what made Matsumoto decide to reveal these now? He's presumably had them for a while. Is it just because of the new exhibit?

From what i read in VIZ volume 11 of phoenix there was supose to be a new story that took place in China which Tezuka never finished don't you mean that it wasn't supose to be the ending from what i heard still i would love to see it but that would at least kill some excitment since we will never get to see how it would end.

Or do you mean that he might have made the ending before actually getting there ?
