I'm really curious as to what the reasoning and justification is to not only reprint Uzumaki in omnibus format, but to give it the deluxe hardcover treatment. Sales wouldn't be the first thing that comes to mind, but what do I know?
I wish Viz reprints Gyo Vol. 1 (another Junji Ito work) as well! |

I may just have to double-dip on this. Ito is a god, and Uzumaki is a thing of demented genius. It richly deserves this kind of deluxe treatment, and though I have Viz's individual paperback volumes, it might be worth $16.88 in a TRSI sale for the upgrade. Certainly everybody who doesn't already own it should snap up this release without fail.

Any chance Viz might pick up the Tomie series? I vaguely remember Dark Horse having it, but have a sneaking suspicion it's out of print. For that matter, if Viz is doing omnibus releases, I want to see a complete set of Banana Fish! Perhaps Cheeky Angel, as well! Hopefully Viz still has the rights to those! *crosses fingers*
