Voice Actress Risa Kayama Reveals Her Father Is Singer Hironobu Kageyama

Voice actress Risa Kayama revealed on Wednesday that her father is popular anime song singer Hironobu Kageyama. The 26-year-old stated that her father supported her career pursuits as a voice actress and she was grateful for his advice and support.

Kayama's first major role was as Hatsune Minase in the 2012 original video anime Otome wa Boku ni Koishiteru: Futari no Elder. She's since voiced Kota Kawabuchi in Kids on the Slope, and background characters in Sengoku Collection.

Kageyama performed both Dragon Ball Z television anime opening themes, "Cha-La Head-Cha-La" and "We Gotta Power," and theme songs for the franchise's movies and specials. His other works including theme songs for Star Blazers 2199, Naruto Spin-Off: Rock Lee & His Ninja Pals, Yu-Gi-Oh! Duel Monster GX, Getter Robo: Armageddon and more. He is in an active member in the band JAM PROJECT where he has also performed multiple anime theme songs.
