Sequel to Moyashimon creator's Junketsu no Maria manga began in July; original manga gets TV anime in January

The 49th issue of Kodansha's Good! Afternoon magazine announced on November 7 that Masayuki Ishikawa's Junketsu no Maria Exhibition (Maria the Virgin Witch Exhibition) manga will end in the magazine's 50th issue, which will ship in Japan on December 6. In addition, Kodansha is listing that the first and only volume of the manga will ship in Japan on January 7, 2015.

Ishikawa began the manga in July after ending his Maria the Virgin Witch last year. Ishikawa launched the original manga in the inaugural issue of Kodansha's good! Afternoon magazine in 2008. A television anime of the original manga is set to premiere in January.

Ishikawa also draws the Moyashimon: Tales of Agriculture manga in Kodansha's Evening magazine, and Del Rey published part of the manga in North America. Moyashimon inspired two television anime series and a live-action television series.
