KAT-TUN, Rin Akatsuki Perform The File of Young Kindaichi Returns' New Theme Songs

This year's eighth issue of Kodansha's Weekly Shōnen Magazine revealed on Wednesday that KAT-TUN and Rin Akatsuki are performing the theme songs for the second season of The File of Young Kindaichi Returns television anime.
KAT-TUN is performing the anime's opening theme, "Tragedy." KAT-TUN member Kazuya Kamenashi previously played the titular character in a 2005 live-action special. Rin Akatsuki will be performing the anime's ending theme, "Ketsui no Tsubasa." This is the debut of Rin Akatsuki, who won the grand prize of becoming an anime theme singer in an audition with about 3,000 applicants.
Seimaru Amagi and Fumiya Sato's Kindaichi Shōnen no Jikenbo R mystery manga inspired the anime. The story centers around a high school boy named Hajime Kindaichi who usually seems dull, but when there is a case, he demonstrates remarkable deductive skills inherited from his famous detective grandfather.
The anime's first season premiered in Japan in April 2014, and the currently airing second season premiered in Japan last October. Crunchyroll streamed the first season and is streaming the second season as it airs in Japan.
