Masami Kurumada launched Saint Seiya Episode Zero in December

The April issue of Akita Shoten's Monthly Champion RED magazine published the final chapter on Monday of Masami Kurumada's Saint Seiya Episode Zero manga. The same issue also revealed that the new "season" of Kurumada's Saint Seiya: Next Dimension - The Myth of Hades manga will launch in May in Akita Shoten's Weekly Shōnen Champion magazine.

Kuramada launched Saint Seiya Episode Zero in Monthly Champion RED in December as a short series. The story follows Gold Saint Sagittarius Aiolos protecting baby Athena.

Weekly Shōnen Champion published the final chapter of the latest arc of Saint Seiya: Next Dimension - The Myth of Hades in October, adding that the manga would return "around next spring."

Kurumada launched the latest Saint Seiya: Next Dimension - The Myth of Hades series in September. Kurumada has been serializing the manga since 2006 and Akita Shoten released the 11th volume (pictured left) on September 7.

Kurumada published the original Saint Seiya manga from 1986 to 1990. The manga has inspired a number of television anime, OVAs, anime films, and spinoff manga. Netflix announced a new CG anime based on the original manga in August, and the Saint Seiya: Saintia Shō spinoff manga also has an anime in the works. A live-action Hollywood film has also been green-lit.

Viz Media published the original manga in English under the title Saint Seiya: Knights of the Zodiac. Seven Seas Entertainment licensed the Saint Seiya: Saintia Shō manga. ADV Films released Toei Animation's anime adaptation with an English dub under the title Knights of the Zodiac, and later released it unedited under the title Saint Seiya. New Video Group later also released the series on DVD.
