Cosplay Mania Hosts Megumi Nakajima, Chiharu Sawashiro, Shunsuke Takeuchi

Philippine convention Cosplay Mania announced on Friday and Monday that it will host voice actress and singer Megumi Nakajima, as well as voice actors Chiharu Sawashiro and Shunsuke Takeuchi. Nakajima will perform a live concert during the event.
Nakajima is best known for her breakout role of Ranka Lee after winning a nationwide singing and acting audition for the Macross Frontier anime. She also performed the theme songs for both seasons of Lagrange - The Flower of Rinne and voiced the character Grania. She played the part of Altene "Lene" in the series Busou Shinki. Nakajima also sang and acted in Basquash, Croisée in a Foreign Labyrinth - The Animation, Kämpfer, Kobato., and Tamayura. She was tapped to lend her singing voice to the Vocaloid GUMI, the mascot character for Megpoid's singing synthesizer. She put her musical career on hiatus in March 2014, and returned in December 2016, performing the opening theme song for the Fuuka anime, and has since then also performed the opening theme song for the Recovery of an MMO Junkie anime.
Sawashiro debuted as a voice actor in 2014, although he had a previous credit as an extra in the Dog & Scissors anime. Since then, he has voiced characters in such anime as Chobitto-Zukan (Takarakogane), Cheer Boys!! (Takeru Andō), MARGINAL #4 the Animation (Alto Takimaru), Love Rice (Nishiki Sasa), Yu-Gi-Oh! VRAINS (Naoki Shima), UQ Holder! Magister Negi Magi! 2 (Asura Tu), Ameiro Cocoa Series Ame-con!! (Marlon), and TsukiPro the Animation (Nozomi Nanase). He recently voiced protagonist Ritsu Shikishima in the Caligula anime, reprising his role from the original video game. He is the younger brother of voice actress Miyuki Sawashiro.
Takeuchi made his major voice acting debut in The IDOLM@STER Cinderella Girls anime as the Producer character, noted for debuting while still 17 years old and voicing a character who is much older than his actual age. Since then, he has voiced characters in such anime as KING OF PRISM by PrettyRhythm (Alexander Yamato), Kuromukuro (José Carlos Takasuka), First Love Monster (Shūgo Takahashi), DAYS (Shizuka Ura), Servamp (Guildenstern), Nanbaka (Yamato Godai), Bungo Stray Dogs 2 (Lovecraft), All Out!! (Kokuto Kirishima), STARMYU (Kōki Nanjō), Yu-Gi-Oh! VRAINS (Revolver), Fate/Apocrypha (Chiron), Convenience Store Boy Friends (Makoto Sakamoto), and Dame×Prince Anime Caravan (Riot). He recently voiced the character Shōgo Satake in the Caligula anime, reprising his role from the original video game.
This year's Cosplay Mania will take place at the SMX Convention Center in Metro Manila on September 29 to 30. Music group fhána, rock band Zwei, and singer AiRI are also performing at the event.
