Bushiroad Announces Plans for Trading Card Titles in 2023
California, USA (January 28, 2023) – Bushiroad International announced plans for Bushiroad English Edition Trading Card Game (TCG) titles Cardfight!! Vanguard, Weiß Schwarz and Shadowverse: Evolve in the new year through the Bushiroad English Conference Winter 2023.
This video was aired during the Bushiroad Championship Series 2022 Worlds invitational tournament live stream, and has since been posted on the official Bushiroad YouTube channel.
Cardfight!! Vanguard
The second season of the “Cardfight!! Vanguard will+Dress” animation began airing on the official Cardfight!! Vanguard YouTube channel from January 14, 2023.
The story picks up after Yu-yu, Raika and Touya's participation in the “Deluxe” tournament in Japan, and covers their adventures in America as they challenge other top-ranked fighters.
New episodes air on Saturday at 7.30am UTC+8 (Friday 3.30pm PST, 6.30pm EST | 12.30am CET) on the official Cardfight!! Vanguard YouTube channel.
In addition, a total of 9 seasons have been confirmed for the ongoing D Series Animation, all the way up to 2025.
Product releases for Cardfight!! Vanguard continue with Booster Pack 09: Dragontree Invasion, that will be released on March 31, 2023.
In line with the Japanese edition release, 5 cards from Booster Pack 04: Awakening of Chakrabarthi will be reprinted with RRR treatment.
In addition, 5 additional cards will be reprinted in the English edition release of Booster Pack 09: Dragontree Invasion.
These reprints are meant to help players build new decks without having to search for old booster pack releases.
Special Series 04: Stride Deckset -Messiah- will be released on June 9, 2023.
This product series contains a pre-constructed deck featuring the Messiah archetype that can be used for play off the shelf. It will also contain card game supplies that can be used for storage and during gameplay.
Booster Pack 10: Dragon Masquerade will be released in 2023.
This release will feature cards that appear in the second half of Cardfight!! Vanguard will+Dress season 2. More information will be shared closer to its release.
Special Series 05: Festival Booster 2023 will be released in 2023 as well.

The TV anime series has aired since January 2011, and over 2 billion cards have been sold through multimedia expansion worldwide. Cardfight!! Vanguard has since been adapted into comics, stage performances, and various events and collaborations with external partners.
Weiß Schwarz
New upcoming titles for Weiß Schwarz were announced during this conference. Information regarding the release dates for these products as well as other product information will be announced soon.
That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime will be receiving a new booster pack release based on the second season of the anime series.
Launched for the Japanese edition of Weiß Schwarz in December 2022, Azur Lane will be receiving an English edition release as well.
Previously announced in the Japanese equivalent of this conference, SPY x FAMILY will also be released in the English edition of Weiß Schwarz.
Volume 2 of the immensely popular hololive production release will also be released in the English edition of Weiß Schwarz.
In addition, a brand-new English Edition Original title was announced.
GUILTY GEAR -STRIVE- is the latest in a series of fighting video games developed by Arc System Works. It received praise for its visuals, revamped gameplay, and online play, and is the best-selling title of the franchise with over a million copies sold as of August 2022.
English Edition Original titles are developed for English Edition of Weiß Schwarz, and feature unique titles such as RWBY and Adventure Time among other fan-favourite Japanese animation titles like The Seven Deadly Sins and Mob Psycho 100.
Weiß Schwarz allows players to relive their favorite animations and games through an exciting, fast-paced card game. Popular titles such as Date A Live, That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime, and Re:ZERO -Starting Life in Another World- have graced the game, along with many others.
Shadowverse: Evolve
Announced on December 6, 2022, the English edition of Shadowverse: Evolve will become available to the public on June 30, 2023 in the form of six Starter Decks, and a Booster Set release.
Each Starter Deck features one of the six classes available in Shadowverse: Evolve; namely, Forestcraft, Swordcraft, Runecraft, Dragoncraft, Abysscraft, and Havencraft. These Starter Decks provide a glimpse into each class's playstyle, and can be used for playing immediately out of the box.
Booster Set #1 “Advent of Genesis” will launch on the same day. Booster Set products consist of packs that contain cards that players can use to upgrade their Starter Deck, or to build entirely new decks. In addition to the six classes, Neutral class cards, which can be used in decks of any class, will also be included. First edition prints of this product will also include an exclusive box topper promo pack containing one of six promotional cards.
Following the product releases in June, players can challenge their friends and other players in their local game stores for collectible promotional cards in monthly shop tournaments. In addition, a worldwide demo caravan will begin, where Bushiroad staff members will travel to card shops around the world to teach and promote Shadowverse: Evolve, as well as other Bushiroad trading card games.
There are also plans to localize and launch an official game assistance app that will help players keep track of their play point totals and their leader's defense. This app can also be used to scan leader cards to unlock exclusive voice lines and artwork.
Shadowverse: Evolve is a competitive TCG where players battle as one of six different classes, summoning followers and casting spells to defeat their opponents. The gameplay closely follows the digital CCG with the inclusion of new mechanics that allow for new ways to play.
Events
Featuring Bushiroad English Edition Trading Card Game titles, the Bushiroad Spring Fest tournament series continues the tradition of 3-man team tournaments that will be held in the first half of the year. This event will be held in over 20 locations around the world.
First introduced during the coronavirus pandemic, Bushiroad Rumble Online is an online tournament series run via the Discord gaming messenger app to allow players to continue enjoying trading card games.
