Tatsuhisa Suzuki, Azumi Asakura, Saori Seto Join Fafner: Exodus Anime's Cast

Planned 26-episode series to premiere in January after December screenings

The official website for anime studio XEBEC zwei's upcoming Fafner sequel, Sōkyū no Fafner: Dead Aggressor: Exodus, announced additional cast on Sunday. Tatsuhisa Suzuki (Free! Eternal Summer, My Little Monster) will play Mitsugu Jinnai, Azumi Asakura (The IDOLM@STER, A Certain Scientific Railgun S) will play Saki Masaoka, and Saori Seto (Kanokon: The Girl Who Cried Fox, Fairy Tail) will star as Mai Dōma.

The previously announced cast includes Makoto Ishii (Shangri-La's Kunihito, Tears to Tiara's Arthur) as Kazuki Makabe, Kohei Kiyasu (The Prince of Tennis' Kaoru, Hajime no Ippo Rising) as Sōshi Minashiro, and Marika Matsumoto (Final Fantasy X's Rikku, Sugar Sugar Rune's Chocolat) as Maya Tōmi, Ryōtarō Okiayu (Toriko, Sengoku Basara: Samurai Kings 2) as Walter Bargest, Yūichi Nakamura (Fairy Tail, Valvrave the Liberator) as Dustin Morgan, and Aki Unone (Tenchi Muyo! War on Geminar) as Keith Water. Kenshō Ono, Masahiko Tanaka, Minoru Shiraishi, Nobunaga Shimazaki, Satomi Arai, Yui Ishikawa, Megumi Han, and Masakazu Morita will also star.

The TV anime is scheduled to premiere in Japan in January. A preview screening of the series will be held in December at the Maihama Amphitheater.

The planned 26-episode television anime is set in the year 2151, two and a half years after the film Sōkyū no Fafner: Dead Aggressor: Heaven and Earth. The 10th-anniversary project will reunite the main staff from the first Fafner television series, including director Nobuyoshi Habara at XEBEC zwei and Xebec. Tow Ubukata is writing the project, and King Records' Gou Nakanishi is a producer.
