I suppose if you know Japanese or can find a good and willing translator, you can contact them directly. A good crowdfunding campaign will take into account international backers (as we've seen with Time of Eve) and thus allow people to contribute from anywhere in the world, and theoretically, a startup like this group would be ecstatic to know there is foreign demand.
After the military, the second biggest accelerator of new technology is pornography. Everybody knows that.
If these initial ones sell well, they could perhaps gather up enough money to buy the rights. I'd imagine they can get very expensive if they go for well-known, familiar characters.
Since this was a crowdfunded project, I highly doubt that there were even three people in the company, let alone a design committee with a boss. |

I just watched the video (earlier when I posted I only read the article), and man, was that disturbing! I was actually quite uncomfortable watching a late 20's or early 30's year old man rubbing a pillow with very young girl's on it.

This is just a talking pillow.
I think that it will have to be combined with some other technology before he can "use" it for anything. I do not doubt that somebody is already working on that. I am going to save my money for a Persocom. 
I always thought that I would never live long enough to see a Persocom, but now I am starting to think that it just might be possible in my lifetime. |

Just find a way to stick an onahole in there and done.
