The ad being used today has some sort of .gif thing in the background, and it's causing the website to overload and constantly refresh on my iPad. I had to quickly log in and change the skin so I could actually read the news.
Can we keep the side ads from having .gifs? It's not even a necessary one, just some cloud thing that moves around over the main picture, but the size of these .gif skins seem to be too large for mobile devices...

I can't say much about the mobile experience, but it's definitely killing my little Intel NUC computer for web browsing. Everything is slowing to a crawl, and it's getting really irritating.

It's probably down to the implementation of compositing the background on your browser(which explains why it went live undetected), It's probably worth banning since animated GIFs are meant to be proudly placed in the foreground, however.

Thanks for letting us know. We've had a few other similar reports. These skins are gorgeous, unfortunately we're going to have to ask FUNi to stop creating them this way.

Just want to add that the new animated skins cause Chrome to crash consistently (8/10 times) when opening on Chrome for iOS.
You really need to have static "mobile" versions...

Guessing thread title was meant to be "site" glitchy get, not "sire."
Anyway,
Using iPad3 with latest update of iOS, Safari browser. Site will not load main page, device say's "problem with website" attempts to reload but can not. Been ongoing for several days now.
Excuse me for also posting in another thread first.

Want to note that today, now that background advert has switched from Funimation to Aniplex, site loads and works fine for me.
Funimation ad chief suspect on what was going on.

Funimation ads came back at Midnight, or so.
Front page and most of website is no longer available for me to access.
"Pop down, animated .gif type ads keep Safari from opening.
Please fix this.

I had one issue of the site forced reloading with today's ad, but now it works. I'll let you know if I run into issues again later.
Also, yesterday was fine.

I remember the site being rather cumbersome on my old computer too a couple of days ago. I think it was a FUNimation ad, yes, particularly one that had some animated feathers falling in the background. Gorgeous, yes, but it made my poor, old computer gasp for mercy.
It only lasted a day or so, though, and I haven't encountered the problem since. Even on the FUNimation ad I can see today, with Ping Pong, Neptunia and Nobunagun.

Site loading this afternoon OK.
Noticed that Funimation ad running now is not animated.
Guess the problem can definently be traced to the Funimation ads when animated keeping Safari from fully loading.
