You can select that at the top of the page can't you? Change "World" into your region

Because you are visiting from a country that we don't have a local version for, we show you the "world" version by default. If you want the North American version, you can can do as killjoy_the recommended.
Please understand though, that by changing to "North America," you won't see articles written about Europe.
In the future, the filter list will allow you to fully filter the list of countries, so if you want news about 3 particular countries, you will be able to pick those 3 specific countries.

I'm not sure if this is related to the new configuration options or not, but the forums have become narrower for me. I have all skins turned off, and in the past the forums would take up most of that space. Now they seem locked in at the size that would fit with a skin around it. Turning on or off the sidebar doesn't seem to have any effect on the size either. If possible, I'd like to have the forums be back to filling the space that is available, rather than how it is now with big blue bars on either side where the skin would be if I had it on.

The forum is only taking up only the left half of my full screen desktop window. The right half is completely blank. I already checked that my options are set to 'long lines'.

Yes, the forum was ignoring the Text Width preference; that's now fixed.
