Now the Pikachu species can redeem its name after several years ago being involved in a nation-wide seizure attack.

I'll say. The local news is treating a mild tropical storm like it's the storm of the century. Re: article There's a species of butterfly and another type of insect named after the Far Side's Gary Larson, and there are several Amazon plants named after the architect who found them. This isn't so uncommon, really. |

Makes me wonder if Nintendo will try to make this into a copyright lawsuit though. Probably not, at least someone in this deal is going to make money.

They did when some guys tried to name a cancer-related gene after Pokemon. |

That was a different case, though. As mentioned in that Wikipedia article, Nintendo didn't want its cuddly creature associated with something negatively involved with cancer. A protein that may help stop blindness can only be a good thing. Until a version of this protein is found to cause seizures, heheh |

You see kids, when the Pikachurin clashes with the Squirtloids, they form a chain reaction that results in the breakdown of Balbaspores; this occurs after the Charmanymes charge the nucleus with Jigglytons.
Keep in mind I don't really know dick about Biology, or any science, for that matter. |

Let's not forget the spiders named after Neil Young and Stephen Colbert... though the latter complained and practically begged for the spider to be named after him... |

Please do! The more, the merrier! Seriously, I didn't know I had so many fellow scientists who were into anime and such. That's comforting. |
