Wait another week and pick up the End of Eva OST from Geneon. I'll have a review up before then.

Ah, so ka?

I think I stumbled upon this page in the past, but I never gave it much attention. Thanks. Although, I still think there should be a soundtrack encylopedia and review page, much like the ones for anime. Rolling Eyes

Thanks again! Smile

A list of upcoming releases would be really cool in my opinion. Although for me it doesn't matter as much since I leave for bootcamp in under a month,

Well, are you looking for any particular songs, or just Evangelion music? Because what is out there is:

Evangelion OST 1
Evangelion OST 2
Evangelion OST 3

all contain the opening, several versions and remixes of the ending, and background music for roughly a third of the series each.

Evangelion: Death and Rebirth OST - self-explanatory
Evangelion: End of Evangelion OST - self-explanatory

Evangelion: Addition - full-length version of the OP, a couple of other background tracks, a 20-minute drama track, and like a full movement of the Beethoven 9th Symphony
Evangelion: Refrain - songs "inspired" by Evangelion (character image songs)
Evangelion: Vox - English-language songs "inspired" by Evangelion, plus remixes of Komm, Susser Tod and Thanatos - If I Can't Be Yours. Mostly worth it for the amusement factor and for the aluminum tin the Japanese CD comes in
Symphony of Evangelion - orchestra arrangements of selected Evangelion songs
Evangelion S2 box - *EVERYTHING*

---

...there are also a bunch of special CD's that were released on specific dates, like the day of Second Impact and Rei Ayanami's birthday. Those are primarily only of interest to the hardcore collector/fanboy.

I'm not sure I'd call that a character image song collection, mainly because none of the songs are sung by any of the seiyuu....

Still, a damn good CD. I love Takahashi Yoko's voice....

I have the S2 soundtrack. At 110 dollars for 7 import CDs, this was a no-brainer. My only complaint is the lack of the numerous versions "Cruel Angels Thesis" but since I also have Refrain(though as a naive bootleg purchase along with the Symphony of Eva CD set which is a good buy as well), its all I need. Be warned though, that its presented with each version of each BGM one after another, so unless you love all off Eva's music like I, be prepared to skip a lot. Its the most economic purchase of the OSTs otherwise. I mostly listen to OSTs and classicalas I never developed a taste for "popular" music enough to buy it, this is good stuff.
