Why does Dover, DE, still have to be on the chopping block? What did we Delawareans do to deserve it? (There's no way I'm going to another state and paying sales tax on top of my anime!)

I'm surprised that my town's store still isn't on the list. I didn't know there were enough people in my town buying anime to keep it off the list. Then again, with the exception of DBZ and Naruto(and the occasional Miyazaki movie) at our Wal-mart, Best Buy's the only B&M option for anime.

If you go to the right places, you'll actually find some pretty good stuff. I know I did tonight. Only for this though, it's too bad that they're knocking them out like that. I'll have to make sure to go check out the Long Beach store on Saturday. Hopefully the entire thing isn't cleaned out. I wonder if this means that whatever they don't sell they'll just send to Rightstuf.

Hrm, there's a sale at the best buy only 20 minutes away...
Maybe now would be a good time to complete my collection for Air or Higurashi...
Or attempt to get a cheapass boxset...

The one nearest me is not on the list, which is the one I was going to go to on payday. I really dont want to travel to far out.
What kind of deals are there anyway? average price etc etc

Doesn't matter what series they are. As long as they are anime series, then it is fifty percent off the price tag that you see on the boxes. It's really nice too, because they have it set up in the system. Basically you take it to the cashier, they ring it up, and don't have to do any price adjustments like they have to do at Fry's or Office Depot when they have their clearance sales.

None of the 2 near me are listed, but I still wish we at least got some kind of deal, it'd nice if the cities not on the list went on sale with at least 15% off or something and for a shorter time like...1 week?

Fortunately, while most in my area are on the list, not all are - so I will be able to still find anime locally. So far I picked up:
Code Geass Parts 1 & 2
Area 88 TV Collection
Southern Cross/Mospeada collection
All for less than $75!
I will be raiding the stores again Friday when I get paid!

Macedonia and Steelyard Commons (OH) are two stores I'm defintely hitting this week. I might check out the Avon and North Olmstead stores, but most likely just for the weekend as those communities are on the west side of Cleveland, and I live on the east side.
I did hit the Macedonia store yesterday and bought a nice haul:
Claymore Vol. #3
Yu Yu Hakusho Season 1 Collection
Yu Yu Hakusho Season 2 Collection
Yu Yu Hakusho Season 3 Collection
Unfortunately they didn't have any copies of the Ergo Proxy Collection (the item I really wanted to get) left, but someone told me that there are some copies at the Steelyard Commons store so hopefully they will still be there when I hit that store later this evening.

Hmm, I see my home store is not on the list, which I guess means good anime sales there though. Though I visit there regularly and it doesn't seem like the anime inventory changes from time to time. Good for them, I guess.
I think I'll got for the one in Auburn Hills and Rochester Hills, MI now since this is the final list though I didn't see the 50% off anime sign at the A.H. and this confirms it.

Yeah, so at my BBY we (the employees) were sort of waiting. We have about 10 really loyal Anime fans in the store, so we sorta jumped on it like Flies on..... Well you know
So I Picked up
Le Chevalier D'Eon
Bleach "memories of Nobody" (9 Bucks I couldn't justify not getting it)
Cowboy Bebop
Haruhi Suzumi
The girl who leap through time
Spritied Away
Clannad
Ergo Proxy
Howls Moving Castle
Keno's Journey
I think we pretty much distoried the section on Sunday. Now I have to wait for my Pay Check on Friday, and probably pick up 2 or 3 more
The sad thing is though, i'll be driving 30 min from now on to Pick up Anime from a different location

Same here, but this is still not good news. If it keeps going, best buy might just cut anime sales completely just to save face in this recession.
