I can't focus on the trailer due to my inability to play this song's bizarre meter.

that's what I'm talkin' bout... this is a good trailer, and great music to set the mood. [making an assumption, because I haven't read the Lnovels.] What IS the world like when there is a Haruhi sized emptiness in it? Trailer tells you everything, but nothing. Here's hoping that they are smart on the release.

There's something I can totally comply with. That music doesn't set a mood at all, actually, it ruins the trailer's potential.

How is that possible? Are you trying to override my brain?

Actually I was referring to the fact I can't play it on the piano, but that works too I guess. A beautiful song, but it doesn't work with much besides European art films.

We will control the horizontal. We will control the vertical.
turn off the music and try again if you hate the music that much... focus on Kyon looking at an empty desk, and then listen to the music again... The trailer tells you what is there and what isn't, and shows and hints at some stuff... with blood and stick figures.
I need to dig up my Kyon icon...

I recognize that tune as an actual classical piece, but as to its name or composer I can't remember right now. I want to say Bach, but I can't be sure.
As to the trailer, I'm not sure if I'm ready for a Yuki which can show emotion.

I'm shocked. Yuki with evident emotions?! What is this world coming to?
Actually, this trailer actually makes me want to see the movie, which considering how completely disinterested I was in the series following the "endless eight" debacle, is quite a feat.

It's Erik Satie and the first part of his Gymnopedies pieces. written in 1887
It's also used in Princess Tutu as Princess Kraehe's theme. I've got it on my ipod X3

I can't hear this conversation because spoiler tags should be used! |
Not really. The only spoiler-ish comments were that Asakura is back, which you would have realized if you watched the streaming trailer that's linked to in the article, and that Haruhi is absent for most of the story, which is spoiled by the title.

I came across this information on wikipedia awhile back and it is probably incorrect, but can anyone confirm or deny this?
"the anime adaptation was licensed for North American distribution by Kadokawa Pictures USA division, which then sublicensed production and distribution to Bandai Entertainment, until they lost the rights in October 2009."

Who is the woman who seems to wrench Kyon's arm in the trailor? I can't tell ... or even tell if that's what's happening. It looks like it may be Tsuruya or Ryoko ...

I wonder how many times this movie will be trolled before actually released though? Anyone remember the long awaited, but not worth the wait Endless Eight?
I'll admit, if Wendy Lee or Crispin Freeman wasn't involed in this show, I would pass on watching this without any second thoughts what so ever. Eventually I'll watch an episode or two, but my tolerance for moe is very low however.

I'm about the last person to tolerate a moe show, and I love the original series. Let's not use short-sighted "criticism," now.
As for the movie, looking forward to it after I lost the motivation the watch the 2009 airing (only watched "Bamboo Leaf Rhapsody" and never caught up; don't feel worse for it).
