Their probably worried that any characters that appear from the original TV series will have different voices and Sentai will be more likely to get the original voice actors back.

From what I gathered, no body from the original series is in this one...

I was half expecting Schneizel to come up, but he hasn't.

Suzaku and C.C. are supposed to at least make cameos in the 2nd episode. http://www.geass.jp/akito/story.html
