Lovely article, but I'd be ever so grateful if you could fix the pronouns you've used for Isabella. It takes a little while for it to become completely clear, but there's no doubt that she identifies as female. I understand that you want to keep the mention of the height and mannish hands which give her birth gender away, but perhaps if you could mention it as her birth gender...? No biggie, I suppose, but it's so rare and precious to have such a respectful portrayal of a transwoman in popular culture, so it'd be really awesome if you wouldn't mind changing that aspect of your article.

And if you're looking to be technically correct about terminology, it is important to note that her gender is female but her sex is male. Gender is an aspect of society, whereas sex is an aspect of biology. |
