Ao no Exorcist's Okumura Yukio is a pretty cool school teacher. He educates his pupils on the subject matters, aids them in the "outdoor activities" of the school, and is quite reliable.
On the other side of the scale, we have the more emotionally-supporting spoiler[(and later, supported)] teacher, CLANNAD's Ibuki Kōko. She tries to assist her students so they'll have as pleasant school life as possible and places the will of others before hers spoiler[(so much so, that she repeatedly delayed her own wedding so her comatose little sister, Ibuki Fūko, will be able to give her blessing on the marriage)]. |

Greatest school teacher? I remember seeing a list like this a long time ago now another one. Sket Dance also has some funny good teacher but I guess that they aren't great enough. Onizuka deserves the number 1 spot.

This list needs some Yoko on it, because...well, Van Halen said it best.

Yay at Koro-sensei on 3rd place! He is such an awesome teacher.
My most anticipated spring anime is definitely Sidonia no Kishi S2. I'm also really excited for Shokugeki no Souma, Kekkai Sensen and Baby Steps S2! |

I mean Onizuka was kind of a given. It's in the title of the show! I'm super duper stoked on Rinne because I've been wanting an anime adaption the second I read it. Also Kekkai Sensen aka Bloodline Battlefront looks freaking epic.

Negi Springfield wasn't a bad teacher, and deserved a place on this list. For great teachers, add his colleagues.
I'd like to include Mizuho from Please Teacher! And possibly Sailor Moon's long-suffering teacher, who got caught in quite a few monsters-of-the-week. |

I think the list is missing Fujisawa from El Hazard. Although something of a hopeless drunk, he does constantly think of his students and in the magnificent world of El Hazard summons up super physical powers to protect everyone when the situation calls for it (and when he's sober).

Ms. Haruna had the standard gag of the teacher who was more obsessed with her personal life, dates and fashion sales than the daily class. Hardly a role model, but Usagi still got the worst of it for her tests. I was wondering whether Minamo from AzD should be on the list of good teachers just apart from being friends with the girls, but she does have a good coach's sense of managing the girls' swim team. By the same standards, I'd include Ms. Mizuki from Card Captor Sakura, who manages to be a good middle-school teacher in addition to planted mysterious aide to supernatural forces. |

Well if it came to funniest teacher, my vote would go to Nozomu Itoshiki, Zetsubou-sensei himself.
And the only anime I'm looking forward to is Vampire Holmes. I'm a sucker for detective anime. |
