So f****** what? Am I suppose to be excited about this? give me one damn reason why?! I mean FFS the west has missed out on enough DQ games as it is.

First off we have dragon quest x for the wii, wii-u and 3ds. Then we have the remakes of dragon quest 7 and monsters 1-2 on the 3ds along with rocket slime 3.

Oh did I forget to mention the awesome anv collection of the first 3 games on the wii that had both the nes and snes versions?! So tell me why in the hell should I be excited that dragon quest 8 is being ported to the damn 3ds!

On the plus side, if this doesn't get a N/A release (which I'm sure it won't) at least you can get the original PS2 version for dirt cheap now.
