I prefer traditional animators to draw over head/faces rather than having computer doing usual CG rendering. Also what is up with those hatch-line textures? That texture still can't hide CG.

I don't mind complicated looking armor rendered in CG, however it would be nice to have experienced traditional animators to guide or direct those 3D CG artists how to animate well.

Well, good to see people aren't going crazy over the CGI and hating it before it comes out. I've seen far too much "DUUR IT SHUDDAV BEEN 2D MORRONNS!" comments on other sites. Thankfully its a little more civil here. As a cgi user myself, I'm happy for that.

The armors are gray. What is so repulsive about gray color?

I don't see a point in rewatching this for the 3rd time.

Farnese having super fancy colours, considering her character and story suit her pretty well. On the other hand, Serpico's are a bit too bright for his style, I would have gone for a darker shade of green, but eh, not complaining that much.

Puck and Guts are looking pretty good imo.

Sequel. Remake of season 1 was the movies trilogy.

Is this 2016 anime an adaptation from the beginning or a continuation? Can I jump into this right away as a new viewer of this series or should I watch the movies/old anime?

It's a continuation, you'll have to watch the movies/old anime to really get what's going on. If you want a crash course, watch the movies, otherwise, watch the anime, or better yet, read the manga.

I played some Guilty Gear Xrd recently, and from that, It appears that well-done CG has gotten good enough to provide a replacement for 2D art.

Of course, that game probably has a much bigger budget than this anime.
