This is terrible news. I always preferred the manga art to the novels. Cancer is serious business and I hope they manage to pull through.

If the manga artist isn't the original LN source material author, than why not give the manga to a different manga artist? It's not that unheard of when you take into consideration that Akira Toriyama doesn't draw the Dragon Ball Super manga and he's literally still alive.

This is sad I hope he/she manages to pull through.
From the article though, it sounds like this is just the manga adaptation though. The novels are the original source that the manga adapts from, written and illustrated by someone else, and are still ongoing. |

This really sucks. It's not a total loss from a fan's perspective since the story is still ongoing in the original light novels, but to lose your career to a disease guaranteed to kill you is just wrong on so many levels. All the best with what little time is left.
