Gakkou Gurashi is too high. Adaptation is terrible, and even if it was counted as standalone it's still boring and disappointing. Damned dog ruined everything.

Does it really matter? The show is a flop and will be forgotten once the season is done

The reviewer doesn't think so. Seems more popular here in the west, than in Japan. I like it, and find it enjoyable.

Seemed to me like it's popular in both.

Strange, this seasons shows seemed limited (not counting continuing shows) in the way I found only 3 shows actually watchable. In my opinion the best shows for me were Ushio and tora, overload, and rokka.
I have high hopes for next season.

Mistake "(not counting shows)"

Actually ment ( not counting ongoing series).

I don't understand why "ongoings don't count."

Because ratings for ongoing series are inherently skewed by the fact that (usually) only major fans - in other words, those viewers naturally inclined to rate the series highly - are continuing to watch through sequels seasons/series.

I didn't realize Charlotte was becoming so unpopular. I think it's fantastic so far. I haven't seen episode 11 which is apparently disliked, but Jun Maeda hasn't let me down yet.

Yet its doing worse than the bulk majority of shows this summer, I guess this ranking is a testament to how lackluster this season has been as a whole than anything in regards to popularity.

That's the beauty of raw numbers, you can interpret it to mean whatever you want them to mean.

Raw numbers shows that its not doing good, what the link you provided shows that its a word of the mouth flavor of the month show that nobody actually wants to buy and will be forgotten within the next season which has very little to do with actual popularity and is the equality of posting what's trending on the hour at twitter.

My personal favorite this season is Baby Steps (S2). It may not have a spot here, but damn is it good!

You have good taste, my friend. I wish more people watched Baby Steps, it's such a good show.
