I'd agree he made a bad mistake in posting the first time. Had he given his second post only, I think he would have came off better.

I did think the review was a bit uncalled for given the standards of ANN. They try to be professional, but this review really struck me as just saying "AN sucks." Picking on this anime for a bad dub is kind of like a cop pulling someone over for speeding for speeding when everyone else is going the same speed.

It was almost like the review was posted as a troll :wink

This has happened before.

In any case, I didn't find the dub that great either. Ask_John made a big deal of saying it was done at Phoenix, which ANN had lauded when it was Coastal. Just because it was given credit a year ago, when it was Coastal, does not mean that a year later, when it is Phoenix, everything it touches will be gold. The dub for MG was alright IMO, but nothing to brag about either. A good effort from a new group of actors, who will hopefully use the experience to learn and improve upon in the future.

I myself prefer subs and only listen to dubs when I want to check to see how they handle something that isn't politically correct. Whenever I do listen to dubs, they sound pretty bad to my ears (it says something that the Cowboy Bebop dub is still remembered as one of the best *years* after it came out).

So, taking a roundabout way to come to a point, I don't let concerns of dub quality worry me in the review.

I can understand that, but not all people are like that, so you have to include the dub. Besides this is a review of the release, not just the series itself.
