It's sounding like the issue is on FUNimation's end, and not on the licensing side. They've said they had the broadcast rights to the final two episodes and Adult Swim was sure they had all ten episodes in the bag. The only logical explanation is FUNimation chickened out at the last minute and revoked the rights to episodes 9 and 10.
This is a marketing decision, and an awful one at that. It's a completely lose-lose situation for them, no matter how they try to spin this they're going to end up looking bad. If they try to pass the blame on Toonami or the Japanese, there is evidence to counter these claims. If they do nothing or pull an "if you want to know how the story ends, buy the DVDs", it'll look like a shameless marketing tactic.
I fully expect FUNimation to attempt the same tactics they usually do when they're caught in a no-win situation, throw out a licensing announcement and hope it's enough red meat to keep the wolves at bay.

It's also on Daisuki, and shouldn't have a one month delay.

There is a joke concerning UKIP to be penned here, though our imaginations suffice to do the rest.

I was working all week, so I'm just now learning about this and I have to say...wow. I don't know what adjective to use here to describe any of this.

You too huh? My friend texted me last Saturday right before AoT was about to start and said he wasn't getting the channel anymore due to said squabble. Turner and Dish picked a fine time to have an argument huh?
