The most intriguing show about the Sengoku period from the past couple of years is Hyouge Mono. Of course since it doesn't have cute girls in it, none of the American licensors deemed it worthy of their interest.

These merchandise companies making crappy series just to sell more merchandise are no good. We don't like it when Mattel does that either. So what if Mattel was successful; reflects badly on the industry.
