August 26-28,2005 Mecha Con! Held in my home city of Lafayette, Louisiana ^^ I am so stoked about attending this. It iwll be my first convention and I hope you guys find a way to attend it if you can. It is our first one, so there might be kinks to iron out but I've tlaked to osme of the organizers and they are quite serious about making this as big an event as LAfayette can muster. BTW, since I am up at Barksdale AFB in Bossier City, where is Lafayette, LA?

Lafayette is about 65 miles southwest of Baton Rouge, or about 120 miles West from New Orleans. It is about 60 miles or so East of Lake Charles and directly south of Alexandria.
They call it the Hub city because it is the junction between I49 and I10. |
