My username comes from Caren Ortensia from Fate/hollow ataraxia, a game which I've never played by the way. I was looking at her massive GSC figure when I made an account on ANN and 1980 is the year that I was born in. That's it!

During high school, when I joined ANN, I was looking for a "cool" Japanese word as my username because I thought "Japan is, like, the greatest country in the world; I need a Japanese username!!" I was a young anime fan so I didn't know any better. >////<
So, I'm on Wikipedia, looked on the Japanese calender, searching for the word for March (the month I was born). At first, I wanted to use either 三月 Sangatsu, the "common" name or 弥生 Yayoi, the "traditional" name. I kept scrolling down the page and came across the 24 Sekki. Here I found my actual birthday, March 5th, written as 啓蟄 or Keichitsu which, roughly, means "awakening of hibernated insects." Although technically it should be March 6th. I added the 0305 because, again, my birthdate. So yes. The rest is history. ^__^ |

Since I couldn't think of any fancy username way back when I got a youtube account in 07 or 08 I thought it would be cool to have a username of something you'd usually find in the background or mostly wouldn't notice (and seeing the impact I have on most websites it seems perfectly fitting) so I decided to go with that guy...
...until I found out 'thatguy' was taken so I did what at the time was the best solution: think up some random numbers that I'd remember. "surely no one would have THIS name" I thought, and if I thought about it from the presective of clones, the "3331 st Thatguy" would most likely be one of the cannon fodder troopers who'd get one shotted in battle. IT WAS PERFECT! and thus I usually take on this name for most websites I go to for forums and such. |
